PLEASE READ THE RULES BEFORE YOU SUBMIT

Well, I want to hold a contest so here goes. This will be my first DA contest. Hehehe, submitted it as a news article (please fave it [link]), lets see how many entrants I get... Probably not many.

The Theme:

Its quite wide, I want to see dragons and frogs. Its up to you whether you draw a dragon, a frog or both and what they are doing. Now everyone knows about dragons but for the frogs you can either draw natural realistic frogs or fantasy frogs.

Ok, update on the dragons, you can also do dragon subspecies or dragon crossbreeds like my own Dragon Cows or Dragon Rabbit.
The crossbreeds should have at least 2 features to make them recognisable as a dragon like dragon wings or scales.

Dragons come in all shapes and sizes, you can draw every scale or no scales, you can draw faery dragons, dragons with bug wings, dragons with feathery wings like Saphira from the Eragon movie or even dragons with no wings such as the Oriental dragons.

Judges:

Prizes:

1st Prize: A full feature in my journal and a dragon, frog or other animal given dragon characteristics (such as your dog or hamster). You get to pick 2 colours and the eye colour and you can pick scales or no scales if you have a dragon.
1st: a picture with background colored and shaded of your OC by

2nd Prize: You will share a feature with 3rd prize and can have a colour dragon or frog but no scales.
2nd: a picture with a background colored of your OC by

3rd Prize: You will share a feature with 2nd prize and can have a colour dragon or frog but no scales.
3rd: a sketch request of your OC by

Runner up: a sketch request of your OC by
And since we now have a runner up place I shall offer a colour dragon or frog but no scales for the runner up too.

It may take a while to draw the prizes, I have 2 weddings to attend in June.

RULES:

1. The picture must contain a Dragon and/or a Frog.
2. The picture must be new, submitted to DA between 11th of April and the 31st of May. Well I'll let you submit one on the 10th after the time I announced the contest too. But nothing uploaded before my contest was announced.
3. No porn, no artists nudes, if you put people in they must wear clothes or at the very least a skimpy bikini.
4. Please link back to the contest or me in your picture's description.
5. Must be all your own work, no tracing, no eyeballing existing artwork and definately no submitting someone else's picture. I also don't want photographs of dragon/frog ornaments you bought and gave a glowy swirly background. References are allowed.
6. Sorry no poetry, prose or stories.
7. 1 entry per person, you can cancel it or update it or even change it so long as the new entry also follows the rules.

One of the entries had to go because the user got banned from DA, sorry, don't know the reason for the ban but as there is noway to contact the user anymore she can't really win any prizes. I liked that entry though
