Well recently I started to like my old Jeff dragon loads, something about the pose so I decided to do a new copy and fix the wings.

You know what I noticed when I traced the original, he has no ears! How did I never notice that, noone ever said either. Oh dear, me and my not giving dragons ears problem is bigger than I thought. Well he has ears now.

OMG I LOVE THIS! once again, i LOVE the shading, no idea how you do that with coloured pencils... :ohnoes: and can barely tell thats its done with coloured pencils. lol. =P i LOVE it! :love:

Well the blue is actually a base of light blue...very light all one shade. Then dark blue over the top where the shadows should be. Yellow is just the one pencil cos its so hard to see anyway.

oh okay, i get it more now, but i have NO IDEA how you could figure out where the shadows would be. you're way smarter than me. ha ha lol. good job! ;P

Well the way to figure it out is to choose your light source, mark it on the paper and take a rule and draw lines from the light source to the surfaces in the picture, anywhere the lines can touch is light, anything beyond that is dark. With something like an arm though you have to remember its round so if the light is from the side the whole back half will be in shadow although its not quite a straight line because you have the shapes of the muscle.
