This is for :iconcreatebyweek: week 43 challenge.

I was all nicely going to draw her with swords and everything and then my brain said 'Swords don't work, give her feathery wings' and my hand tried to commit suicide. After this and Pepe the Parrot if I ever see another feather again it'll be too soon except there is a dragon in my drawing pad with feathery wings. Oh dear!

Someone commented on something saying how nice it was to see pencil for a change while I was just preparing to start inking and my brain said 'Can't be bothered to ink, lets do pencil' so here we have a pencil drawing.

I'm writing what I'm thinking. You'll just have to live with that.
It was worth the effort. You're really good at drawing feathers.

You dreamed of s t a r d o m
But thought that stars were made of dust.

You never dreamed that stardust
Could shine bright enough to DAZZLE anyone.

She's awesome. I know that song, I am woman hear me roar..... She is a good symbol for the song, a strong warrior angel/winged woman. The hard work was worth the effort. I draw feathered wings so I know how hard it can be.

My chains are gone, I've been set free, my God my savior has ransomed me, and like a flood His mercy reigns, unending love, amazing grace.
Oh cool, didn't know that it was from a song...

Thank you! :D

Yeah, it's a feminist song most commonly sung by a lady named Helen Reddy, during the 1960's and 1970's, called I Am Woman Hear Me Roar. Back then women usually were housewives if they were married, if they were not married then there was a limited amount of careers they could pursue, women were first entering the military, (I think it was in World War II when women had the first unit in the military. Women's Army Corps, or WAC, as they were called. But they were usually not allowed in the actual fighting. Mainly they were nurses.) and other professional careers. They really had very few women doctors or judges, police officers, university professors, CEOs, or politicians. Now they have a lot of women whom have jobs like that, the same with black people or other people who aren't white in America, they were held down and could not have positions of power. Now we have a lot of working women who are married and have kids, and they balance family with career. And of course their are single mothers who don't have husbands who must raise their kids alone and go to work at the same time, thus you have the big business of day care for little children. It used to be that mothers would stay home and take care of very young children, there are still some Christian families who try to follow that tradition while the children are very young so they can bond with their mothers and have a closer family.
